I’ve recently written a blog about the fun Magic and I had messing about with the hose whilst I was filling the water buckets! If you haven’t read it you can see it here.
That job is not all fun and games, and just recently it’s become a real hassle as the hose has got several holes in it but one extra large hole that sprays water up everywhere and slows the flow through the hose so it takes even longer to fill the buckets! To be honest this really irks me!!!
The other day when doing the water and feeling cold and wet, I turned to look at the water spraying up making a mess and getting me wet if i wasn't careful to stand far enough away from it and and i though “oh this is ridiculous”. Life feels unfair some days and this was one of those days!
Yes, it’s not that big a deal but it really annoyed me and was just one of those things that can bring joy to no-one and bring frustration to others - me!
Do you ever found yourself like me frustrated by life's little inconveniences? But amidst the irritation, I learned a valuable lesson from an unexpected source – Red, the pony who lives in the neighbouring field.
As I grumbled about the hose's extra-large hole spraying water everywhere, I noticed Red observing the scene with curiosity. Despite my annoyance, Red saw an opportunity for fun. With mischievous glints in his eyes, he ventured into the spray, turning what I saw as a nuisance into a source of delight.
As I attempted to capture Red's playful antics on video, he seemed to sense my presence and paused, as if to say, "This moment is just for me." Yet, I managed to capture a few snapshots of his sheer joy and contentment, reminding me of the simple pleasures found in everyday moments.

In that moment, I realised that what may irk one person can bring joy to another. Red's ability to find happiness in the midst of inconvenience served as a powerful reminder to embrace life's surprises and make the most of every opportunity for play and exploration.
So, the next time life throws a curveball your way, take a cue from Red and approach it with a sense of curiosity and wonder. Who knows? You might just find joy in unexpected places. After all, sometimes the best lessons come from those who see the world through a different lens. 🐾💫
